Our Approach
Choosing Lightning Surge Solutions Ltd. will ensure the codes of practice BSEN 62305, BS7671 requirements will be met in terms of protecting electrical and electronic systems within your building. Too often these industry standards are misunderstood, overlooked or ignored leaving buildings and systems vulnerable to loss. Many UK buildings have a lightning conductor system installed (simple Faraday cage) without any surge protection measures at all!
These Faraday systems attract lightning strikes and provide a safe path to earth, thus protecting the envelope of the structure against the “direct”effects of Lightning. Faraday cage installations do not protect the systems within the structure nor the people from resultant electric discharge, system damage and potential loss of life due to fire. Without properly designed and installed surge protection measures SPM, resultant transient over voltage events will damage systems costing business and insurers hundreds of thousands of pounds every year.
In order to evaluate what is required for your specific project we will review electrical schematics and liaise with owners, consultants, contractors etc. when information is not readily available. Deficiency’s identified in existing system protection can then be rectified using Raycap lightning surge current and transient voltage protection products. We only use the highest quality market leading technology products on the market to ensure your personnel, property and equipment is fully compliant to UK standards against Lightning events and Transient over voltages.
We also offer surge protection awareness training to our M&E clients, Lightning protection contractors and Consultant engineering customers covering both BS7671 18th Edition IET regulations and BSEN 62305 Lightning protection standard – Please feel free to contact us for further discussion.
